Songs from my past

Just because they're such lovely songs and they bring back so many memories.....

You must remember this

A kiss is just a kiss, a sigh is just a sigh
The fundamental things apply
As time goes by
And when two lovers woo
They still say, "I love you"
On that you can rely
No matter what the future brings
As time goes by
Moonlight and love songs
Never out of date
Hearts full of passion
Jealousy and hate
Woman needs man
And man must have his mate
That no one can deny
it's still the same old story
A fight for love and glory
A case of do or die
The world will always welcome lovers
As time goes by

I am getting older and older, much older than I was supposed to get  about 20 years ago.
Sometimes I tend to dig up pieces of the past, fishing for good memories, like this song I sang as a young girl (47 years ago), not knowing I would see a lot more than I could have wished for.

 Nobody knows the trouble I've seen;
Nobody knows my sorrow.
Nobody knows the trouble I've seen;
Glory, Hallelujah!
Sometimes I'm up, sometimes I'm down;
Oh, yes, Lord.
Sometimes I'm almost to the groun',
Oh, yes, Lord.
I wish that I could find a way;

Oh, yes, Lord,
But life is just one long, rainy day;
Oh, yes, Lord.
Glory, Hallelujah!

Solo singing was sort of a punishment of my musicteacher Kors Monster who knew he would never get me on stage without a reason. I don't remember what I did to deserve it.
 It was a strickt ánd Christian school, so it was easy for me to make mistakes...

But now, as time goes by I get more and more disapointed.
I had dreams: I have always wished for my children and my grandchildren and all the other children everywhere, to inherrit a better world from us. Because I thought and still think that we have all the ingredients for a splendid life for everyone. There is more than enough of everything  for everybody. But I fear things have to get even worse before they'll get better.

But I never lost hope.... and I hope I never will.

When you walk

Through a storm
Hold your head, up high
And don't be afraid, of the dark
At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song
Of a lark
Walk on, through the wind
Walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed
And blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope, in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
You´ll never walk, alone

You'll never walk, alone

Never ;-)
